about

TN023

The Nursery’s 6th release of 2018 comes in the form of a various artist EP called Rules of Conscience, which brings together four artists with completely divergent styles of techno.

Replica’s opening track kicks in the door with somewhat of a melodic anthem, carried by forceful kicks and razor sharp percussion, followed by the more warehouse style sounding ‘Turn of Phase’ by the London-born, Berlin-based Brothers Black.

Shingo Suwa hints towards the earlier dub techno thanks to its space echo chords whirling around so peacefully, succeeded by the elegant soundscape called ‘Listen to Me’ by Bari’s Joey_M, where even a tranquil piano sample makes its appearance.

It’s a thing of beauty, these four very different tracks by four young artists, sharing a common ground in the obvious talent and quality they carry so early in their musical careers.
